History

1996

Founded by Cordia & Tom Harrington, Tennessee Bun Company (TBC) is a high-speed bun line, baking 1000 buns per minute.

1999

Nashville Bun Company (NBC) purchased as a packaging facility.

2001

English muffin griddle was built at NBC.

2005

Cold Storage of Nashville, an 85,000 sq. ft. freezer facility, was purchased.

2007

Cornerstone Frozen, a frozen dough line, was built at CSN, serving biscuit and dough pucks to the restaurant industry.

2009

A biscuit line was added at NBC, baking 2000 biscuits per minute.

2014

The Bun Companies purchased Masada Bakery in Atlanta, GA. This artisan bakery has an organic & kosher line, bagel line, bun & bread line, and Danish pastry line, delivering fresh product to over 1,400 customers in seven states in the southeastern US.

2015

The Bun Companies realized they are more than a “bun company”, and became The Bakery Cos.

Our baked goods are made in the time-honored traditions of master bakers and artisans. We craft products that are nutritious, healthy and safe. Our bakers create over 7 million pieces per day, making memories at our table and yours.
